Your first visit

Your first visit with us will last between 45 and 60 minutes.
During this first session you can expect a thorough assessment of your problem and an initial treatment.

You will be asked some questions about your condition and how it is affecting your day to day life. In addition we will need to ask you some questions about your general health and any medication you may be taking (please bring a list of any medications with you to this visit). If there have been any investigations for your condition please bring copies along with you.

After the interview a detailed physical examination will be performed to help us identify the origin and cause of your problem. We will explain our findings and discuss with you a proposed treatment plan to aid your recovery, including an estimated length of treatment and likely outcome. We will also give you advice about ways to manage your condition at home and teach you specific exercises to aid your recovery.

Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate undergarments as you may be asked to undress to your underwear during this and any future sessions. A pair of shorts may be appropriate if your problem is related to your lower back or legs.

At each visit you can expect a friendly, professional and confidential approach to your condition.
